Cookbooks: Vegan Favorites

Unfortunately, I had some technical difficulties with my blogs last week which interrupted my vegan week; rather than skip the other wonderful posts I had planned for you, I’m going to continue vegan week for the rest of this week!

Veganomicon is a great vegan cookbook for starters. Besides having recipes, this cookbook also has tips about cooking vegetables and grains as well as a section on how to stock your vegan pantry.

Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar and Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World are two smaller cookbooks that come highly recommended, especially for those vegans (or would-be vegans) who don’t want to give up their gorgeous fluffy cupcakes or sweet cookies. We all need a few sweets in our lives, after all.

There are also some really fantastic online resources for vegan recipes. Here are just a few of my favorites:

  1. Ana

I need to take a look!!!

  2. Great suggestions.

Did I mention that I became a vegetarian recently – about a month ago (I ate very little meat, and only white meat, before)…so particularly helpful to me :)

  3. Veganomicon has been on my list for years, ha! I remember I was shocked one year to find it in the library and it was so HUGE! I could hardly get through just browsing. The cover is so simple and beautiful, but I was bummed that it wasn't filled with photos. There's just something about a cookbook without photos that makes me not so eager to make the recipe. I'm thinking this is something I need to get over.
