You can’t go wrong with donuts in general, no matter how you spell them (I tend to prefer “doughnut”). But a donut made with organic blueberries? Even better. And vegan? You would never know.
My friend Vi had heard of Pepples Donuts before, but as she’s on a gluten-free diet, I was forced to be her taste-tester. It was a hard job, let me tell you. Especially because I wanted to try them all. But I settled on a blueberry donut and then proceeded to annoy her for the rest of the day as I randomly repeated, “That was such a good donut.”
Pebbles Donuts has locations all over the San Francisco Bay Area, but the Pebbles Donut Farm in Oakland also does a vegan brunch on the weekends. I’ll definitely be trying that out the next time I’m in the area.
